Qualifying for the Pan American Championships
· A qualifying 2-day event will be held annually in Ontario at a venue agreed to by the board to select up to 8 pairs of anglers and 1 alternate pair that will form the following year’s team.
- The latest version of the Pan American Black Bass Championship Rules will be used.
· Invites will be sent to:
- the top 10 AOY teams of tournament series across Canada identified by the board;
- past team members from previous years;
- anglers of selected National tours approved by the board.
· The board may designate up to two pairs of anglers to the team without going through the qualifier.
- the pairs named must support the mission and growth of CISA.
· All qualifier competitors must become class “B” members of CISA by paying annual membership dues and signing a code of conduct approved by the board.
· If a team becomes a single angler from disciplinary reasons, the remaining team member may invite any former Canada Bass team member (with the approval of the board) to join the team.
· Following the qualifying tournament, offers will be made to the successful teams and delegates.
- If any successful team declines the offer, the next highest-ranking team will be given the offer.
· Either a Team Captain (team member) will be appointed through a vote within the qualifying team members; and/or a Team Manager will be appointed through a vote within the board. The Team Captain/Team Manager is responsible for the following:
- Attending all captain meetings at the event and accurately relaying all information to the team.
o Making decisions to substitute team members during competition.
Qualifying for the World Championships
· The top four teams ranked by total weight at the Pan American Championships will be invited to the Black Bass World Championships (3 teams + 1 Alternate team) for the following year.
- If any successful team declines the offer, the alternate team will be promoted to the team and the next highest-ranking team will be promoted to the alternate position.

The top 7 teams will earn a position on Team Canada including 1 alternate team. CISA reserves the right to name the top two spots to the team each year.
